Investment Situation in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone (SEZ)
Investment in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone (SEZ) has so far reached several billion US dollars.
1. Government Investment
The government has invested in 2 projects, totaling over 60 million USD, including:
Construction of the Betong Road from Ban Nam Keung Mai to Ban Mom, spanning 46.6 km.
Erosion prevention measures along 7 km of riverbanks.
2. Private Sector Investment (Dok Ngiew Kham Group)
Private developers, particularly the Dok Ngiew Kham Company Limited, have invested approximately 2.7 billion USD in: Land compensation for the project.
Infrastructure development, including: Roads, offices, housing, electricity, water supply, telecommunications, ports, international checkpoints, an international airport, Schools, hospitals, public parks, urban beautification, Wastewater treatment plants and landfills.
Agricultural Projects integrated farming systems: Cattle farms, pig farms and large-scale vegetable greenhouses, animal feed factories and poultry farming.
Fruit orchards and seasonal crop cultivation.
3. Investments by Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises
Total registered businesses: 3,483 enterprises. Total registered capital: 1,672,570,144 USD (including 581 companies and 2,902 individual enterprises).
Key Investment Highlights is Real estate development: Over 100 projects capable of accommodating 100,000+ long-term residents, 22 hotels, agricultural production zones, shopping centers, markets, retail stores and entertainment venues.
